Optical precision glass aspheric lenses

 

Precision aspheric lenses radidus is aspheric, which focus or collimate light without introducing spherical aberration into the transmitted wavefront.

The advantage for aspheric lenses:
1. Collimate or Focus Light with a Single Element
2. Reduce the number of elements needed in a multi-element system.
3. Reduce overall system weight 
4. Reduce spherical aberration 

 

Thus an aspheric lenses is often the best single element solution for many applications including collimating the output of a fiber or laser diode, coupling light into a fiber, spatial filtering, or imaging light onto a detector.
